The peace talks occurring simultaneously alongside the Afghanistan’s recent conflicts have served as a discussion point for finding a solution to the problem of women’s involvement in the peace building process. So far, however, these discussions have not been effective, since peace negotiation processes and ceasefires have been frail and failed. This issue raises an important question: Why have the efforts for peace failed in this country? A serious endeavor for understanding this issue has not been followed yet.
